With fixed and mobile convergence accelerating, multi-screen linear TV and on demand
TV will become increasingly important in the content strategy of telecom operators.

Beyond delivering a home TV service and a mobile TV service with on demand content,
we are entering a new era where content solutions will have to be convergent
to improve the return on investment on the content acquisition, to increase overall ARPU and to increase the overall attractiveness of the service.

  • launch innovative new business models such as buy a video on your TV set, start to watch it at home and resume viewing on your mobile while on the go,
  • provide content discovery services allowing end users to discover what’s on TV while on the go with their mobile and have it record their IPTV service for later viewing,
  • provide well targeted content recommendations that build on historical aggregated fixed and mobile content consumption, implement social network based recommendation, etc.

In addition, with the forthcoming development of mobile broadband to compete with ADSL networks, pure mobile operators will have to address the challenge to provide a quadplay service that includes HD TV via broadcast by hybrid solutions.
